    • Trivia
This episode was produced in 1983 and was originally planned to air in the second season (production number 035), but for some reason, NBC refused to air it until 1987.
    • Goofs
A major issue in this episode is the roof leaking into the kitchen, but the Keatons live in a 2-story house, suggesting that any roof leaks would be upstairs in the bedrooms, not on the lowest level (unless, of course, the entire second floor is flooded, in which case the kitchen is the least of their worries). However, it's possible that the second floor is not as large as the first, and that the kitchen is a single-floor area.
