None of it made much'a'damn sense.

I realize how utterly spent classic TV is via this episode. Utterly meaningless and absurd, the plot line is empty. It's a cartoon so that's partly expected but the sheer nihilistic element to the episode is confounding.

    • Trivia
The word Fred spells in scrabble "ZARF" is an actual word, meaning: "(especially in the Middle East) a holder, usually ornamental, for a hot coffee cup".
    • Goofs
SILLY SCRABBLE - Fred makes the word "CAT" to which Arnold adds "ACLYSM" to make cataclysm. The scrabble tiles change from shot to shot when the board is shown and their words wouldn't be possible from the varied configurations shown. Furthermore Fred makes the final bogus word "ZARF" by adding his tiles to a "Z" that wasn't there before (at the end of the long vertical word in the center).
    • Quotes

Betty Rubble: [about Fred going to school] Aren't you jealous of all those young coeds he'll be sitting next to?

Wilma Flintstone: No. Fred will be too busy studying figures, et cetera.

Betty Rubble: Hmm. That's what he'll be studying, all right. And those et ceteras look great in sweaters.

Wilma Flintstone: [laughs] Fred? Interested in some skinny young thing in a sweater?

      [laughs again]

Wilma Flintstone: Uh, on the other hand, that's how I got him.
