Thanksgiving, New Year and now Valentines

Matthew Perry again brings the laughs and he is given good support from the always fun Maggie Wheeler as Janice.

Plot In A Paragraph: It's the day before Valentines day and Joey has finally landed a date with a hot girl, but she will only go out with him if he will bring someone along for her recently dumped friend. He takes Chandler along, who is horrified to find out the friend is Janice (who he has dumped twice now) and even more horrified the next morning when he wakes up next to her. Meanwhile the girls have an ex boyfriend ceremony.

So far in this first season, the best episodes are ones that have featured Matthew Perry's Chandler Bing heavily (often with him trying to dump Janice)and this is no exception.

    • Trivia
At the beginning of the series, Monica and Rachel's apartment number is 5, and Chandler and Joey's is 4. The apartment numbers were permanently changed and in this episode, Monica and Rachel's apartment number is 20, while Chandler and Joey's is 19. This was done to better fit the exterior of the building in New York City that was used to depict their apartment, which was several floors up, as apartments 4 and 5 could not be that high in the building.
    • Goofs
Phoebe mentions her friend named Abby who shaves her head, but in later episodes when her bald friend starts dating Ross, her name is Bonnie. However, Phoebe could easily have more than one female friend who shaved their heads, which would fit with her quirky personality.
    • Quotes

Rachel Green: Pete the Weeper? Remember? The guy who always used to cry when we had sex?

      [mock crying]

Rachel Green: "Was it good for you?"

Monica Geller: Yeah, well, I'll take a little crying any day over Howard the "I Win" guy.

      [imitating Howard]

Monica Geller: "I win! I win!"

      [normal voice]

Monica Geller: I went out with the guy for two months; I didn't get to win once.
