    A spy for a spy

The Chief is kidnapped by a magician named Siegfried, who tries to swap the Chief for the plans to the X11. Unwilling to give up the X11, Max kidnaps KAOS' top agent in order to swap him for the Chief. KAOS retaliates by kidnapping another CONTROL agent.

Max and Siegfried then end up kidnapping all of the agents of each other's agency. A huge swap meet is then held so that KAOS and CONTROL can get all their agents back. Unfortunately, Max loses the swap meet because Siegfried kidnaps the CONTROL bus driver.m

Another winning episode with Smart putting on his negotiation skills with a KAOS agent who wants the X11 in exchange if the chief. Siegfried has a sort of exaggerated German accent which was funny because the words came indecipherable. Their going up against each was a highlight and liked the bit where they dispensed with their weapons!

    • Quotes

      Siegfried: [on phone] Schmart!

Maxwell Smart: [on the other line] What happened?

Siegfried: Your Chief was just silenced by a pistol butt.

Maxwell Smart: Well that's a little drastic, isn't it, Siegfried? Couldn't you have just shushed him?

      Siegfried: We don't shush here!
