Kill Me Now

Gilmore Girls

Edit

Continuity

Rory goes golfing on Sunday, and the next day is the wedding. That makes the wedding on a Monday. Rory is at the wedding, but if it was a Monday, she'd be at school. Then Lorelei then brings leftover dessert from the wedding to Friday night dinner.
Lorelai is sat at the porch table, and Rory returns with a bottle of oil. After that, the items on the table (water bottles, blue mirror) keep changing places and positions (and the bottle of oil keeps rotating, note the way the labels face).

Factual errors

The mother of the brides in the double wedding states that the now-wedded couples plan to move to Arizona, which she says is "hundreds of miles away". Arizona is thousands of miles from Connecticut.

Incorrectly regarded as goofs

Rory mentions her and Lorelai's plan to backpack around Europe when she graduates high school and Richard is supportive of the plan and the trip. When it is mentioned later in the series, Richard acts as though he has never heard of this plan, and he and Emily act amused at the plan and appalled that the girls would backpack.

However, when Rory mentions the Europe trip now, she is at the beginning of her sophomore year, and the trip is very hypothetical. It's easy for Richard to be supportive when the trip is nearly 3 years away. He and Emily get critical when the trip gets closer and much more likely.
Right after Lorelai asks one of her employees at the inn to "send Rory up to room 12 in about 10 minutes", she tells another one of her employees that her father and Rory are out golfing at his country club that day. Unless Rory was in two places at once, it would be impossible for her to go to to room 12 in 10 minutes when she was not even on the property. Correction: Lorelai didn't tell them to send Rory up. She said to send Maury, the masseuse, up.

Audio/visual unsynchronised

Lorelai and Rory are sitting at a table, with Rory looking at herself in a mirror, they talk about Rory's hair. Right after this, Rory asks, "Do you want something to drink?" and her mouth doesn't move at all.

Plot holes

If Rory and Richard go to the golf club on Sunday as it is stated, and it is nighttime when she comes back, it means the wedding occurs on a Monday but then Rory is also there while she should be in school. Or that there has been a full week in between and it is another afternoon of the week (since Rory and Lorelai bring leftover cake from the wedding).

Character error

In this episode "kill me now" at the beginning Rory and Lorelai at the Friday night dinner and the topic of Richards mother (Lorelai the first) comes up.Both characters Richard and Emily refer to her as in the past.Yet later on in the show Lorelai the first is revealed and is alive and well. She then dies in season 4 due to a heart attack.
