Would have been better without Michel the annoying!!!

Yes, Michel is very annoying throughout the whole series, I can't stand him. In real life such an unfriendly and unsympathetic person would never be hired at front desk, well, with this attitude he would get soon fired, for sure. In this episode, there is NO WAY he and his Mom would be speaking NOT french with each other, makes no sense!!!

Luckily, Richard and Emily saved this episode for me.

Glad, Dean has come to realise the truth about Rory.

Overall good episode but not as great as most of them are.

I guess I am looking forward to the Rory and Jess storyline.

I like that the whole Gilmore Girls TV show was filmed BEFORE the social media madness. Home phones seem a vintage these days :) even though it was just a few years ago.

    • Trivia
In the scene in Rory's grandparents' house with the school project group, while Paris is walking around the table speaking, Brad asks, "She doesn't have a baseball bat in her hands, does she?" This is a reference to the film The Untouchables wherein Al Capone beats one of his employees to death with a baseball bat at a conference table.
    • Goofs
At their Friday night dinner, Emily says to Richard that she has never started a dinner without him unless he was out of town or seriously ill, but in "Hammers and Veils", Emily is so angry with Lorelai about having found out about her wedding from someone other than her own daughter that she rushes Lorelai and Rory into the house for their Friday night dinner and tells them to start the dinner without Richard because he has an early flight the next morning.

Michel Gerard: You know what heppens when you assume, don't you?

      Lorelai Gilmore: No.

Michel Gerard: Well, it is something about a donkey, it is a stupid American phrase!
