    Superbly written episode.

Sophia is suddenly in possession of a huge amount of cash; Dorothy wants to know where it's coming from. Rose is excited to celebrate Miles's birthday together with his daughter Caroline. Blanche has a unique idea for how to meet men.

I loved this episode; it's a great episode with three wonderful strands. Each thread is joyous and so funny. The show is always well written, but somehow this was a few notches up; they crammed so much into just 25 minutes.

Finally, there's a relationship that has lasted more than just a single episode; I like Miles.

Blanche delivers some genuinely funny one-liners; that one about intensive care was side-splitting. I just love the way she dealt with Caroline, but best of all, that's a hell of a way to attract a wealthy single man; it's worth trying!

Caroline's behaviour has been criticised among other reviewers, but I've actually been in the same predicament with a parent. I kind of get where she's coming from; it's natural to be protective.

    8/10.

    I disliked Caroline

Her father was a grown man able to make his own choices and Caroline thought she can butt in and tell Rose to stop seeing him? A year is plenty of time for a man to start seeing someone if his wife died -Miles was ready.

I am SERIOUSLY hooked on Golden Girls!

Love the show....have watched it basically all my adult life... but this episode wasn't a favorite. Miles' daughter Caroline had the craziest "Jerky" movements!! Like a damn bird

Sophia says she was amazed when she saw the statue of liberty because she was surprised women in America shaved under their arms. However the statue of liberty's underarms are not visible, they are covered by fabric.
    • Quotes

Blanche Devereaux: Caroline, you think your daddy has become involved too soon after your poor mother's demise, but, honey, a year is more than respectable. Why, I've had men call me when their wives were in intensive care!
