    Two Platoons Get The Boot

This episode resembles McHale's Navy and Phil Silvers Show with some Barney Fife thrown in. Good episode for Ronnie Schell. This is one time where it makes sense for Duke to be a Corporal.

    • Trivia
Sgt Carter tells his men that the "Order of the Lead Boot," the battalion 'booty' prize, is awarded every six months to "the most fouled-up platoon in the outfit." He then says that if they win it again this time, his platoon will be the first ever to win it three times in a row. Their winning it twice in a row made history, and made Carter the "laughing stock of the NCO club."
