Florida's night out with the boss

"Florida the Woman" opens with poor Florida trying to please everyone at the same time, finally storming off to work after a sharp rebuke of her impatient husband. Her boss, Oscar Harris (Thalmus Rasulala, previously Ernie Harris in "The Houseguest"), asks her out to lunch to celebrate the completion of inventory, and for once she accepts. The Japanese rice wine Saki goes down well with Florida, whose only experience with rive comes with red beans. James and the kids ensure that dinner is provided by JJ's ribs delivery job (Thelma refuses to give her brother a tip!). Florida arrives home in a joyful mood, even singing, quite a surprise from the way she left in the morning, and a jealous James gets his dander up over her lunch with the supervisor.
