There's the devil to pay

"Operation Florida" opens with James returning home with good news, a $15 raise. Florida's reserved reaction does not meet with his approval, learning that she's had a pain in her side for two weeks. A trip to the free clinic reveals gallstones that need to be removed. Upset with the demands made at the clinic, James is determined to send his wife to a private hospital. With his insurance he figures he can afford a nice operation, simple in every way but cost. Unable to pay for a rented TV set so that Florida can watch Redd Foxx, James deduces that it would be cheaper to get Foxx in person! Her fast acting sleeping pill doesn't give him time to explain the situation, but she's able to return home feeling better than ever.
