    Marriage in Nigeria

"Thelma's African Romance" concludes with Ibe Wubila (Johnny Sekka) asking Thelma to move in with him, she wondering how to break the news to her mother. Florida arrives home after work in a rotten mood, and prefers that her daughter get married before living with a man. A change in plans means that Ibe must return to his father's country, unable to get a job without losing his student visa, asking Thelma to come with him as his bride. Unfortunately for Florida, Thelma answers in the affirmative, though there are warning signs from Michael, who divulges that African men can marry as many wives as they want, inspiring a classic exchange from JJ: "I can see the headlines now, gorgeous ghetto girl becomes happy harem honey!" Ibe throws a celebratory wedding bash for his new family, complete with traditional Nigerian food, but the subject of multiple wives proves to be a major stumbling block.
