    • Trivia
Drug ring member Carlo watches Batman (1966) on television while waiting for narcotics smuggler Gus Wander. This was a cross-promotion as both series were produced by Greenway Productions and shared the same executive producer who doubled as narrator, William Dozier.
    • Goofs
The Black Beauty drives through the town square followed by a light blue 1957 DeSoto four-door sedan carrying the Selden Gang. When the cars arrive at the ship, the Black Beauty is now followed by a light blue 1962 Plymouth Belvedere two-door sedan.
    • Quotes

[a beauty shot of the Batcave goes by to the instrumental "Batman" theme on the television, watched by a grinning Carlo, also playing a solitaire game]

Bert Selden: We've got a fortune riding on a deal, and you're watching Batman?

      [door buzzer sounds]

      Carlo: That must be Wander.

[Carlo returns his attention to the television]

Bert Selden: Well, find out, stupid!

[instrumental Batman theme continues on the TV while Carlo answers the speaker by the door]

      Carlo: Wander?

Wolfe: [on speaker] No, it's Wolfe. Let me in.

      [Wolfe enters]

      Bert Selden: Where's Wander?

Wolfe: I'm asking *you*! He was supposed to be here half an hour ago. Has he called or anything?

Bert Selden: No, he... hasn't called or anything.

[On the TV, "Batman" is suddenly interrupted by a "Special News Flash," which captures the attention of the three men]

Newscaster: [offscreen] We interrupt this program to bring you a special bulletin. Only moments ago, the Green Hornet delivered a badly injured man to the Claybourne Hospital. He was identified as Gus Wander, a transient. Wander remains in a deep coma and under police guard. The Hornet was not, repeat, not apprehended. Further bulletins as the news develops.

Bert Selden: [Bert turns off the TV, and looks at the others with determination] I want Wander.
