    • Trivia
The character of Dr. Mabouse is a reference to the character in the novel Dr. Mabuse written by Luxembourgish author Norbert Jacques in 1921. It was also adapted to film by German director Fritz Lang in Dr. Mabuse the Gambler (1922), The Testament of Dr. Mabuse (1933), and the much later The Thousand Eyes of Dr. Mabuse (1960). A clear reference to Lang can be seen in the costume of the character Vama (played by Linda Gaye Scottl) as the robot Maria from Metropolis (1927).
