David McLean who played the Sheriff in this episode also was in a lot of the Marlboro television and print advertisements beginning in the 1960s On October 12, 1995, McLean died of lung cancer at the age of 73 in Los Angeles, California. His burial was at Holy Cross Cemetery in Culver City, California James Welch Henderson Arkansas May 8, 2025
