    Quarantine Drama

Doc's diagnosis and his understanding of the butler's ailment was remarkably accurate given the knowledge and medical experience of the time. Rocky Mountain Spotted Fever was a very close match to the butler's symptoms, and it is spread to humans by tick bites. Persons who survived that Fever usually developed an immunity to re-infection.

Due to the number of communicable diseases of the time, including cholera, typhus, smallpox, yellow fever, a quarantine was basically a sound decision. Just accept Doc's statements as being accurate.

The reactions of non-quarantined persons forms the basis of this drama. Dana Wynter is always a treat.

Good episode - shows how ignorant mob mentality can be

I didnt see the whole episode but, I saw enough to understand the gist of the story. As usual, Doc Adams shone in this episode, I quite liked the wife, Isabelle (I think her name is, if no, sorry for the error), standing by her man even though he's not really a nice guy, and it was interesting to see always dependable Morgan Woodward in a role quite different than what he usually portrays.

And, of course, disliking immensely that uninformed crowd, just reacting badly to what they dont understand.

Boy, the parallels to our own pandemic of a couple years back - still sadly not eradicated - sure ring true.

Doc Adams - Frontline First Responder

We watched this episode in the middle of the pandemic. It was interesting watching a program about a quarantine while in a quarantine. Very Timely - like the episode was made yesterday - and not in 1967.
