ARE YOU IN THE BOOK?

If this doesn't have the feel of a MANNIX noir story, a tribute to writer Michael Sloan (the EQUALIZER) who passed in 2025. Sloan wrote for a few cop shows, notably McCLOUD, many episodes for the HARDY BOYS.

Yes, the elusive book of NAMES... Barbara Cason plays Kate, the owner of a gambling club, shot and killed by a robber. Her trusty assistant, Jaime (Jeanne Nail) has orders to contact Harry should something happen to her. In question is a notebook with several names of well-connected folks, of course blackmail the issue and how about Harry next on the hit list. The ever dreaded question; why do they keep books (in the first place) which lead to instant death?

Replete with a tidy cast of suspicous characters. Barbara Rhodes (BUSTING LOOSE) plays Linda, poker face John S. Ragin, as Nestler, co-star on QUINCY. Movie buffs will enjoy seeing Rita Gam (Naomi) who gained fame in KING OF KINGS.

Watching Harry look everyone over is a treat, that first impression you can't change. The cast runs with it. Safe enough to add a touch of PERRY MASON to this story.

FYI; Cason was married to Dennis Patrick, both appearing in HOUSE OF DARK SHADOWS.

SEASON 2 EPISODE 15 remastered Warner Brothers dvd box set. Classic green box. 6 dvds. Released 2013. Thank U METV for the late night memories.

Goofs
Jamie (actress Joanne Nail) is in jail, facing a charge of first degree murder. She should have an attorney, but she does not ask for one, and neither Harry Orwell nor Lt. Trench (actor Anthony Zerbe) offer to assist her in obtaining legal counsel.
