No one to like here ...

Don Knight seems to always play some pretty heavy characters. In his most recent Hawaii 5-0 appearance before this, he played a hit man brought in specifically to kill Steve McGarrett. Things didn't work out for him in that show, either. McGarrett is always a step ahead.

Except ... 5-0 wasn't a step ahead in this caper, but they didn't stay far behind. Knight plays an opal salesman who has a side deal of his own working .... smuggling a fortune in opals he dug himself over the course of years and years. As he tries to peddle them to a jeweler in Honolulu, an armed robbery takes place, and all that hard work is gone.

The writers let him do an impressive job of tracking down the thieves to reunite himself with his loot. His only problem? He's at odds with the best.

Trivia
Hobbs tells McGarrett, "$5000 will buy a lot of kip and tucker!" This Australian slang expression refers to a bed for the night (kip), and a hearty meal (tucker).

Goofs
Ben and Duke are searching Miyoshi's apartment, but there is no explanation why Ben is present since he was staked out watching Webber's apartment building where Hobbs had entered. Ben had not received any instructions from McGarrett to abandon his post.
