Hawaii Five-O (1968)

Goofs

The Flip Side Is Death

Hawaii Five-O

Edit

Continuity

When the pineapple delivery van is stopped at the road block, its rear fenders are covered in mud (caused when it was in the mountains), but when it arrives at the warehouse, the fenders are clean as a whistle.

Factual errors

There is a misconception that workers who work in harvesting and cutting pineapples will eventually lost their fingerprints. Supposedly, this is caused by the action of the proteolytic enzyme called 'bromelain' which, as an amino acid, dissolves them. This is not true. The enzyme is a meat tenderizer and may cause a small amount of damage, but the body quickly repairs it.

Revealing mistakes

When they were loading money in the tape cartridges to go in the caddy, they were using cheap Certron cartridges in white housings. When the pineapple truck was stopped at the roadblock, the police officer took one of the tapes out of the caddy. It was a Santana 'Abraxas' tape in a red housing with a typewritten index label with the words Walker Music pasted on it.
There were several scenes with a helicopter in it. The first one was a Bell 47J and the sound was correct for it, but later on a Hughes 369 is seen a couple of times and they used the same sound from the Bell 47J.

Miscellaneous

During the opening credit sequence, one of the soldiers is shown with his rank insignia on his shirt collar upside down.

Plot holes

Certainly the police officer examining the 8-track cartridge would have noticed that it contained no tape.
