In the abandoned temple near her village, he fall tough a trap door into the underground premises of an apparently utterly harmonious cult, lead by high priest Kamaros in the name of child goddess Lorel, who actually has a sister among the commune. Salmoneus, who fell in earlier, happily become a temple official, but precisely his uncharacteristic altruism proves things can't be right to Iolaus. He finds out the secret is an opiate mixed in everyone's food, but Kamaros, who hides a gruesome past, gets wind of the budding revolt and has him apprehended for brain-washing.
