    Adventures in Paris

Entertaining light story told here, where a missing girl motivates our detective - not the same if you compare to the previous episode that took place in Hong Kong - to investigate. The girl's father seems to deal here with a kidnapping case. You have here a sweet french Paris atmosphere with the accordion music and cellar restaurants of Saint Germain des Prés arrondissement of Paris. And not forget the beautiful French gal with the unavoidable accent. Clichés among clichés...But why not? Ida Lupino seems to have found much pleasure directing this episode where Paris atmosphere is quite good in the production design. I have not much to say about it.

    • Trivia
One scene takes place in a cafe called "Le Coin D'Enfer," which translates as "The Corner of Hell," a name the ABC censor would never have permitted in English. Incidentally, there actually is a restaurant with that name, but it's in Chemery-sur-Bar, which is about 150 miles from Paris. (It should be noted that, while the term "d'enfer" literally translates as "of hell," in French slang it is generally used as a superlative meaning fabulous or wonderful. Thus "Le Coin D'Enfer" means "The Wonderful Corner.")
    • Goofs
The French banker makes a mistake on not being able to clear the check with Los Angeles till the next day, if he stayed open till 5 pm it would be 9 am in California.
