He Was Driving A Mach-1 Mustang

(*Officer Malloy to Officer Reed quote*) - "He's been worked over pretty good."

In the industrial area of Los Angeles there's a vicious and violent group of loan sharks who think nothing of beating up on factory employees who fall behind in their weekly payments.

Officers Reed and Malloy take their part in the investigation as they try to track down the culprits through testimony from witnesses and victims.

In the meantime - There's a liquor store robbery to check into.

    • Trivia
In most seasons, Malloy and Reed always got a new car at the start of the season, which should have been a 1970 Mercury Montego in season 3, but was the previous year's 1969 Plymouth Belvedere. However, in season 4, they got a new 1971 Plymouth Satellite.
    • Goofs
When Sergeant Strong tells Malloy and Reed of the two suspects in the parking lot beating, he says that their names are Jack Bennett and Paul Bertino, both from New York. When Sergeant Strong hands over the mug shots of the two suspects to Malloy and Reed, the name on the one mug shot shown has the man with an entirely different name, Howard Digby, who's shown to be from California.
    • Quotes

Officer Pete Malloy: It's simple, Mister Russell. Because how are we gonna put ugly goons like that away unless some cat lays it on us?

Jim Russell: Just what in the heck does that mean?

Officer Pete Malloy: Ask your son, Mister Russell.
