    THE NIECE HAS MUSCLES?

Beautifully filmed on location episode in England, thanks to director Joseph Depew. He outdid himself with some outstanding castle photography. Another reason why the color episodes added class to the show.

More insane comedy of errors, dreamed up by producers and writers Paul Henning and Buddy Atkinson. Jethro falls head over heals for a distinguished colonel's niece, played by British actress Ilona Rodgers. While gazing at her through a telescope, Jethro asks Jed to take a look -- instead switching over to her muscle-bound brother (played by David Prowse). The guy is wearing Scottish kilts(?), which Jed believes is the WRONG type of woman for Jethro! This bit had to have been inspired by the Three Stooges.

Will there be wedding bells anyway?

FAMOUS Footnote; the appearance of David Prowse, famous bodybuilder at the time and contender for Mr. Universe. For all us STAR WARS fans, Prowse became an overnight sensation (about ten years later), portraying Darth Vader. Prowse passed in 2020 due to Covid.

Don't miss this one. The dancing scene is a mini classic, again thanks to Joseph Depew.

Definitely shades of BENNY HILL here.

Note, this episode aired a few days after the passing of Bea Benadaret (PETTICOAT JUNCTION), who played Jethro's mom in the early show episodes.

SEASON 7 EPISODE 4. According to Amazon, seasons 6 through 9 are expected to be released on blu ray by 2027. Thanks to METV for running every episode.
