    Dick York's last appearance

I always wondered if they knew this would be Dick York's last appearance. I wish he could have gotten more of an appropriate send off.

Although I grew up watching the show in syndication, I always thought he was the best Darrin Stephens. The show was never the same after him.

Bewitched Goodbye very good actors and hello bad ones

Bewitched from Season 1-5 was great Elizabeth Montgomery as Samantha a beautiful young witch. Dick York as Darrin who loved Samantha but hated her witchcraft due to being a mortal. Agnes Moorehead as Endora she was a great loves how she dresses and she really hated Darrin I thought it was very funny with all the spells she puts on him to ruin his business meetings with his boss Larry Tate played by David White. Marion Lorne was amazing too she was perfect for Aunt Clara she was a funny goofy witch and her obsession with door knobs. Erin Murphy was excellent for Tabitha I loved how she uses her wish craft making toys come to life bring characters from a book to life and turning people into animals and Samantha didn't even teach Tabitha how to use her powers instead she said Tabitha you mustn't use your powers just to please Durwood. Bewitched should have ended when Dick York couldn't act anymore or they could have continued with just Samantha living her mortal life and Tabitha could have been a naughty witch and when she had Adam Tabitha could do all sorts of silly things with her brother and Samantha has to stop them to from squabbling or fighting. The Second Darrin wasn't very good at all he was sour faced and he was mean to Samantha and he was always serious he wasn't funny at all. If he ever started from season 1 the show would have went off the air ages ago and it would have received terrible reviews.

    Goodbye, Mr York

Yes, this was Dick York's last appearance on the show. He also didn't appear in several of the episodes that immediately preceded this one. While watching this episode, I couldn't recall having seen it before. Perhaps, the episode just wasn't that memorable. The story had a feel of desperation to it. Like everyone was out of ideas at this point, and this story was the best they could come up with. Why did Samantha and Darren "have to" go to Mexico City? That wasn't really made clear. A cola called "Bueno" would make as much sense as a cola called "Good." The premise wasn't very funny or even particularly interesting. Darren's sudden fluency in Spanish was reminiscent of the episode where he spoke perfect Italian. The previous episode was better. Many people seem to think Dick York was the better of the two actors that played Darren. I don't agree. He was too animated and whiny most of the time. Probably, the result of his health problems. However, viewers might not have known this at the time. For anyone who thought York was the best Darren, this episode certainly wasn't a very distinguished way for him to depart the series.

    TERRIBLE EPISODE... Originally Shelved

This final episode with Dick York was so terrible that it was originally shelved, never to be seen... But when York left series half way through his final season, they dusted it off and showed it as the last episode of the season... Most of the story is incomprehensible and contradicts its own self... It's a very poor remake of earlier Bewitched episode BUSINESS ITALIAN STYLE but with all kinds of plot holes.... Dick York looks sick throughout and the ending is absurd... A forgettable Episode that they should have never taken off the shelf and instead end the season without York.
