    The Jailing of Jaime

Jaime is charged with delivering an important decoding device designed by Doctor Ellis Hatch to an underground testing facility. Pilot Ted Ryan takes her to the site, where she gives the forty million dollar decoder to General Partridge.

However, when the real General Partridge later claims that he never received the device, Jaime is arrested under suspicion of treason.

Can Jaime find a way to prove her innocence and track down the location of the decoder..?

Poor Jaime is framed for giving some decoder intentionally to the wrong person and she's jailed, but escapes because Oscar's hands will be tied and the chief investigator (Skip Homeier- whom I wouldn't have recognised if it wasn't for the title sequence in the beginning; gone are his youthful looks when he played sulky gunslingers!) has tunnel vision and has made up his mind that Jaime is a traitor. But we all know she isn't and the fun part is how she finds the real culprit. Nice twist at the end. Tense sequence with the safe with an explosive device.

    • Trivia
The shot of the NSB security people's car coming to pick up Jaime at her house is reused footage of the mercenaries' green Plymouth two-door sedan approaching Jaime's coach house, filmed through her upstairs window, earlier in Season 1's Jaime's Mother (1976).
    • Goofs
After Jaime bends one of the bars of the cell door and Oscar tells her that it would look better for her this time if she didn't force her way out, several irregular shiny "stretch marks" are visible on the twisted metal. Yet after Jaime apparently bends the bar straight again, all of the shiny damaged areas disappear - obviously this second shot was just a played-in-reverse reusing of the previous "bending the bar" film sequence.
    • Quotes

John Naud: The courier just left. It's a woman. Yeah, mid-twenties, pretty. Too bad it's the last delivery she'll ever make.
