A producer of a film, Morley Brightner (Reid Shelton)is found shot to death in a locked room at Warwick Studios. Magician and creative advisor Alexander "Alex" Blacke (Hal Linden), investigates alongside his father, Leonard, to solve the seemingly impossible murder.
Well, not a totally impossible murder to solve when Alexander Blacke and his father is on the case, but it's difficult enough and the mystery is quite enjoyable, thanks to an array of suspects, ranging from an aging diva to a hotshot, self obsessed leading actor - quite an engaging episode. Added plus: I just love murder mysteries on a movie set and the in-fights between actors and producers when the camera isn't rolling is amusing. The locked door mystery element is real neat - nice revelation.
