Ridiculously zany with some classic scenes.

No doctor in the real world would do what Bob does for his patients .They do a lot but not juggle their home schedule like he does. Bob goes to the office on Christmas Eve for one patient! Then he goes back a second time in the middle of a blizzard and coming power outages to console hysterically wacko Mr Peterson (John Fiedler) never happens in the real world.

Lots of great classic scenes. When Mr Peterson is explaining that he's not healed and is still as crazy as ever was very funny. Bob was very believable in his frigid story of battling the elements on his walk home in the blizzard.

Episode hits close to home because it's hovering around 0° outside as I write this review.

    • Trivia
The title's from the classic Christmas song, White Christmas, (written by 'Irving Berlin'), and originally sung by Bing Crosby in the film,Holiday Inn (1942).
    • Goofs
When Bob explains that he got their Christmas tree for a lower price, Emily asks "Bob, how can you barter this time of year?" "Barter" means an exchange of goods. Talking the salesman down from $15 to $12 (which happened here) means "HAGGLE", not "barter". Considering that Emily is a schoolteacher AND was flaunting her IQ being higher than Bob's only a few episodes earlier (and Bob being a highly educated person) makes this a glaring mistake.

Dr. Robert 'Bob' Hartley: Carol, what kind of coffee is this?

      Carol Kester: Irish.

Dr. Robert 'Bob' Hartley: Is it safe to drink from the water cooler?

Carol Kester: Sure, If you like martinis!
