    Very funny.

The episode utilized Bob Newhart's best comedic quality of being awkwardly uncomfortable in crazy situations. The writers used some of the standard writing tools of classic sitcoms. The use of interruptions when Bob was speaking was really brilliant.

Funniest part of the episode was when Bob first talked and asked the class if they had any questions. Then, a student doesn't ask about psychology but asked about the fire axe that's still being passed around and talked about. Jerry's brutal honesty throwing digs at Bob's profession and bombing first time speaking to the class were hilarious.

Strong clever writing. Unfortunately the writers get somewhat lazy as the series progresses with some clunker episodes along the way.

    Chemistry Is Already There

Let's face it. Bob Hartley is the man with the button down mind. He spends his time listening to the absurdities of the world. His clients are damaged, and it is his job to draw them out and feel good about themselves. Most of us have jobs or professions that seem dull to the world, event when they are significant. In this episode, Emily, an elementary teacher, is having a career day. She invites people with different jobs to talk about them. Of course, the firefighter is the big hit. Jerry has a giant tooth, and Howard Borden flies in a plane. Bob has to tell the kids psychobabble. How do they know themselves. Of course, they are soon asleep and he is humiliated. This is where the show takes off. He has to salvage his pride. Good episode.
