    Hero of the town

In Dusty Flats, the bank clerk Tod Biggs is given the money and escorted to the bank by Bronco to deposit the $10,000 payroll in new Gold Certificates. As they prepare to count the money, three masked men enter from the back.

Promptly, Bronco throws the money in the safe and locks it, telling that only person knows the combination and he isn't here- but the bank clerk says he knows it. After knocking out Bronco, the three men force Tod to unlock the safe. He is knocked to the floor falling on Bronco's pistol. He recognizes one of the men's ring calling him Bitsy. Bitsy shoots Tod killing him and he dies with Bronco's gun in his hand.

Bronco wakes up, allowing the crowd in the bank but is unable to say exactly what happened. People assume the dead Tod was a hero while Bronco was a coward who they won't allow to even join a posse. Against the wishes of Tod's wife and son, he tries on his own to find the robbers. The inept sheriff finds no trace but Bronco finds some clues which leads him to the men - much to his disappointment as one of them is friend.

Solid entry with Bronco branded a coward. The bank robbing scene was well-staged. There's some good suspense as well as some neat dialogue. Lynn Bari is great as the widow of the bank clerk.
