    School for Cowards

As a favour to General Hunter, Bronco arrives at the Martin Military School for Boys as an instructor in frontier warfare, and still gets the job, despite Capt. Martin's reservations about him. One of the boys, Jamie Reynolds, takes a keen interest in Bronco and the two become close friends. The boy's dad, an army officer has died. Only his stepmother and her prospective beau visit him.

One day, a Sioux woman named Monacita arrives saying she is Jamie's real mother and that his father was her husband but he took the boy away when he was very young. A cadet overhears them talking and spreads the word about Jamie who is teased.

Bronco tries to help but is fired but returns when Jamie runs away. Events lead him to think Jamie is in danger from his future stepfather.

An excellent episode with mystery and secrets mixing together to make good drama. Good subject about race, identity. A quite sinister bit is when the boy explains how his stepfather makes him feel uneasy and laughed once when a scorpion almost bit him. Funny enough there's a few scorpions in this episode.
