    Shadow of a Man

Bronco finds Clete Raynor sinking fast in quicksand and throws him a rope, dragging him to safety. Later, Clete says he and a partner, prankster Cookie Meyers, are on a mustang hunt. He asks Bronco to join them for some quick cash. They send Bronco to track the mustangs but when they don't show, he heads back. He spots a stage coach overturned with a crowd of men around it.

A man is holding a gun on Clete and Cookie. Bronco disarms the gunman and is told that the man is one of the robbers. They decide to run with the man as a prisoner gagged and handcuffed.

After some time spent hiding in a remote location, Bronco decides to remove the gag to give him some water. The man says he is a Pinkerton agent and the others are the robbers. Now Bronco is real annoyed by being made a fool of ... and even when the two robbers die he's on the run, mistaken for being part of the robbery. Someone- the one who informed the robbers of the shipment info - is out for the money Clete hid before hitting the dust. Bronco lures the informer out in the open with a plan ...

Bronco's helpfulness sure gets him into trouble as he's duped by a couple of guys claiming they are mustangers. They are anything but that. Consequently, the twists and turns keep coming and the plot is quite strong and brisk. An exciting slice of western mayhem with a nail biting finale and twist.
