    Ken Berry "Mr. Bojangles"

This was the episode where Ken Berry sang and danced to "Mr. Bojangles." I LOVE The Carol Burnett Show, but I an generally NOT a fan of song and dance numbers. I always watched it for the comedic skits. That said, the "Mr. Bojangles" segment was GREAT, especially when Ken Berry was singing. His dancing was also impressive. To me, usually when Ken Berry (or Alan Alda or Roddy McDowell) was in an episode, it would range from not very good to mediocre. THIS IS THE EXCEPTION.

For me, the mark of a great episode of The Carol Burnett Show, is one that starred Tim Conway or Steve Lawrence. This episode is right up there with the best of those because of Ken Berry's singing and dancing to "Mr. Bojangles". EXCELLENT.

RIP Ken Berry, this was exceptionally good and memorable. πŸ‘πŸ‘
