They deserve each other, but we deserve better!

This is a bland,ho-hum episode that doesn't really have a lot going for it.

To begin with, the Frasier character is an arrogant, pompous character that can be rather annoying. However,Frasier usually does manage to add some warmth, good cheer and humor to the scenes and episodes he is in.

Frasier's wife Lileth is sort of like a female version of Frasier without most of the charming parts. She is dull, dry, and she comes across as being pretty cold. (Not always, not every-single appearance is she like this, but she is definitely this way most of the time.)

Trying to carry an entire episode on the personalities of these two pompous dullards is simply asking too much.

The two characters are interesting curiosities that do provide some occasional, ironic comic-relief but they are hardly interesting-enough to carry an entire episode.

To make matters even-worse,in this episode, these two characters are extremely worried about something that is actually quite ridiculous for several obvious reasons.

They are worrying about a matter that they have hardly-any control over, many, many years before any normal person would ever even start to think about it.

The very idea of them bringing their worries about this nonsense into a barroom,of all places,is beyond belief-particularly considering how snobbish they seem to enjoy acting.

In small doses, these two characters are mildly tolerable. Expecting them to carry an entire episode is expecting too much, because they simply aren't that interesting.

This is a bland, boring, forgettable episode. 5/10 or less.

    Let's Talk!

A couple of fun plots. Carla talks Rebecca into going to the prison to see Robin, with sex the target. Meanwhile, the Cranes have found out that their little boy may be average. This is devastating to them. There is one two second thing that makes this all worthwhile.

    • Quotes

Dr. Frasier Crane: [about spending the day at the bar with Frederick] I thought that Frederick might enjoy himself.

Dr. Lilith Sternin-Crane: Enjoy himself in a bar? He's eleven months old. What kind of values can he learn here?

Dr. Frasier Crane: Well, I thought the place had a lot to offer.

Dr. Lilith Sternin-Crane: Oh, please. He'll never learn to speak in this environment.

Norm Peterson: [Norm walks into the bar] Afternoon everybody.

      Frederick Crane: Norm!

Dr. Lilith Sternin-Crane: [looks lovingly into Frederick's eyes] He said Mommy!
