The entire episode sucks, but has a great ending that is worth it

There is nothing I hate more then a episode where the main characters all behave like irredeemable monsters that create a miserable situation for everyone in their community that brings the attention of the national guard. Everyone but Malcolm and Francis, suck (as human beings) in this episode. But this has the best knee slapping ending I have ever seen in my entire life. Lois, Hal, Dewey, and Reece, are put outside for causing so much trouble. Outside in the freezing cold. All the while, Malcolm is ground and has to remain in his cot. Given how bitchy and terrible Lois has been throughout this episode, it's just nice to see her suffer in the misery she has created for herself for what happens next. They ask Malcolm to bring them blankets, and he's like "I'm sorry, I'm not suppose to leave this cot". If that is not a perfect ending then I do not know what is. All I could do is laugh, and play Instant Karma by John Lennon. It was perfect. And there is a dark side to me that likes to think that his family did freeze to death and Malcolm was adopted by millionaires. All in all, in the words of the merry murderesses of the Cook County Jail, "They had it comin, they had it comin, they only had themselves to blame, if you had been there and you had seen it, I bet you would've done the same".

    Lois is awful

This episode is frustrating. Lois is takes her punishment too far. She's awful in this episode. Malcolm was literally doing school work and was late. Through out the whole episode Lois seems to get worse and worse. Belittling Malcolm and treating him like dirt and not her son. Shes always the worst and this has to be one of the episodes which will keep you frustrated. Hal keeps the episode going with his antics like always. He's always a care loving man like always, he just doesn't know how to show it well at times, and in this episode he continues with that trouble with the help of his sons they keep making things worse for him. Reese and dewey are being weird and awful like always but it's entertaining.

    • Trivia
The actress that plays Laura, Eric's date, also plays Nicki, Malcom's forbidden girlfriend in later episodes such as Forbidden Girlfriend.
    • Goofs
Malcolm has outright ignored Lois when she's punishes him for ridiculous reasons. So this time shouldn't be different.
    • Quotes

Hal: Dewey, want to go with me to take the old couch to the dump?

Dewey: No, I wanna watch cartoons.

Hal: [in amazement] Are you kidding? We're talking about the *city dump*. Mountains of smoldering garbage as far as you can see. Swarms of flies that block out the sun.

      Dewey: [getting very interested] Really?

Hal: Last time I was there, I saw a forty-pound seagull carry off a dog in its beak!

      Dewey: *Wow!*
