Ted attends Murray and Marie's 20th anniversary party and gets all caught up in how lonely he is. He has an insane dream. So on a whim, he proposes to Georgette on the air. She accepts and he immediately gets cold feet and can't bring himself to tell her. He wants Mary to tell Georgette that he will be in Brazil for a year. What happens at the end is really funny. Mary tries to turn the tables on him. Ted Knight was one of the most masterful comedians in our time. Ted Baxter is also a priceless character. But in this episode, Mary is the master.
