Trivia
The steam yacht in the background of one scene is the SY Carola - owned at that time by my MD, and reputedly the oldest steam yacht in the world (citation needed, as they say) and berthed at Buckler's Hard, Hampshire. In July 1984 I assisted the resident engineer in a refurbishment of the boiler tubes - a disgusting, claustrophobic and arduous task. The exterior shots of the cabin/shed where Arthur and Terry meet Moray Watson is a few metres from where Carola was berthed.

Goofs
No-one on the Birchwood cruiser wears a life-jacket at any point, despite both the Commander and Penny being implied to be experienced sailors.
