Monty Python's Flying Circus

Edit

Factual errors

In the "World Forum" sketch, the host (Eric Idle) says that Teddy Johnson and Pearl Carr won the 1959 Eurovision Song Contest with "Sing Little Birdie". They actually came in second place; Dutch singer Teddy Scholten won the contest with "Een beetje".
The "World Forum" host introduces Zedong Mao as "leader of the Chinese Communist Party since 1949". Mao became de facto leader in 1935 and was named chairman in 1943.

Miscellaneous

During the courtroom sketch, after the police officer (Graham Chapman) breaks wind loudly and longly, the defense lawyer (John Cleese) can be seen stifling his laughter.
During the WW1 army sketch the group are deciding which one of them should be eaten by playing "fisties", however, just as Graham Chapman counts to three, John Cleese can be seen visibly smirking.

Character error

In the "Spam" scene at the diner, the woman asks the waitress if the diner serves anything without spam in it (after the waitress lists everything on the menu), to which she replies "Well; spam, egg, sausage, and spam doesn't have much spam in it." However, the first two meals on her original list were "Egg and bacon" and "Egg, sausage and bacon;" with no mention of spam until "Egg and spam."
