ONE OF THE WORST EPISODES!
So many of these episodes in this series are just ridiculous, but this is one of the worst! In reality Max Sheffield would have fired such an irresponsible airhead a long time ago; and he certainly would have never fallen in love with her. Also, the nanny's mother is the most irritating character on this show! Again, in reality, no mother would have the freedom to come and go to her daughter's place of employment like Fran's mom. In all honesty, with some many other shows to choose from, that were far better at that time, I am surmised of it's popularity. Truth be known, I watched ""The Nanny" because I believe that Niles the butler was best character of the series. As far as I am concerned he is the one who kept it going for 6 years.

- Quotes
Elizabeth Taylor: So, are you Maxwell's wife?
Fran Fine: Oh no, I just work for him. Actually, I've never been married.
Elizabeth Taylor: [stunned] Not even once?
Fran Fine: Well, you know, there was one time, but then I thought about it...
Elizabeth Taylor: [chuckles] That was your mistake, dear!
