It does raise the question how grateful the real owner should be if the dog is returned to her. Still it's a good caper with Lassie looking for the dog. And the dog thief has plenty more dogs. Oddly enough the bad guy uses the term add when multiply would make more sense to calculate the amount of money they can make from dog napping. No one thinks of bad guys as geniuses.
