The System Works

Travis is a reference to Travis Bickle, Robert De Niro's character in Taxi Driver. The actor playing Travis affects some De Niro mannerisms and dresses very similarly. In a later episode, it is mentioned Travis drives a taxi when not at night school.

Dan pronounces "coup de grâce" as "koo de GRAH." The S sound at the end is not silent, so it is correctly pronounced "koo de GRAHSS."
