Long time to wait for a Christmas episode!

After 4 1/2 seasons, Night Court decided it was time for a Christmas episode, and of course in their way, things go sideways in strange ways. You may never get the mental image of Bull in a too small Santa suit out of your head again.

We get a visit from Buddy, Harry's extremely oddball step-father, and Harry's bailiffs are involved in a Toys for Tots style toy drive for orphans and underprivileged kids. That gets a bit complicated when Bull accidentally takes a truck full of stolen toys to hand out .. because the truck full of toys is evidence against the thief and the toys need to be returned!

Buddy's Christmas decorating is worth a look all on its own, and you get to find out the tradition for standing beneath collard greens instead of mistletoe.

Funny, as were all Night Court episodes.

    • Quotes

Buddy Ryan: [as Harry is about to take another drink] Hey Harry?

[Harry turns and sees Buddy and Nick at the window in Nick's convertible]

      Buddy Ryan: Want a ride?

Judge Harry T. Stone: No thanks, Buddy, I'm covered.

[Is about to resume his drinking, but pauses and looks back. The window is clear. Harry dismisses what he thought he saw]

      Judge Harry T. Stone: Nah.

Buddy Ryan: [yelling at Nick] Hey, look out for that flock of pigeons!
