The opening shot of the clifftop, and the burning car driving off the cliff and hitting the rocks on its way into the sea was also used in Smokescreen (1964). In that film, the shot included a brief cutaway of two lovers who witnessed the incident; in this episode, the shot was almost continuous apart from a jump cut of a few missing frames as the front wheels of the car are about to go over the cliff.
