    Just Bad All Around

I love this show, but nearly everything about this episode is absolutely awful. Not everything after Joel left is terrible, there were even some entertaining and memorable moments in the later episodes. This one, however, is excruciating to watch. The ongoing squabble between the new doctor and his wife was an unnecessary and unwelcome distraction to the show; at least they seem to have worked things out. But the overall pace and storyline of this one is just plain bad. For continuity's sake, you should probably watch it for the full NE experience. But set your expectations low for this episode. It's downright dismal.

The worst episode out of 110.

    Horrible. Simply a horrible episode!

How sad to see this once entertaining and pleasantly quirky show bite the dust. They should have ended it halfway through this season. They could have easily wrapped up the main character story lines in 2-3 good episodes after Joel departed instead of some of the silliness the last dozen episodes have as storylines. It's evident the writers were just trying to fill the time slot with anything nonsensical they could come up with. While the actors remained great, I can't help but wonder if they didn't revolt against the scripts. Kudos to them for sticking it out, but after Rob Morrow had contract disputes, I guess everyone else just went with the flow to get to the series finale as quickly as possible.

    I Just Didn't Care

This was so tedious. The violin guy is back and is ready to give himself up. Capra has been counseling him. But Szymansky begins to have feeling for him when she hears his playing. Maurice is hurt. Meanwhile, for the first time in six seasons, we hear about Cotillion where the young people learn to dance and also learn manners. Capra commits unwitting faux pas with Mrs. Whirlwind, so he is seen as a beast. The werewolf scene is one redeeming feature of this episode. Chris has to dance with a thirteen year old and she can't stand it. She is rude and unfriendly to him. But they have literary test in common. All's well that ends well. Yuck.
