    Cicely Puts On A Play

If you're a theater nerd, you will enjoy this a lot. The anxiety of putting on a play. Though, well conceived, a lot of it felt off. Starting with the ongoing feud with The Capras. None of it is convincing. We also knew as Maggie is casted as Cheri and Chris as Beau, the continued attraction story between the two would parallel the play. I was more interested in the backstory of how Maurice lost control of his effort of "Oklahoma!" It was simply wrapped by a few sentences.

Despite all that, still all ties in at the end.

Again, the tone of this "Northern Exposure" without Joel feels empty. The dynamics of a married couple are interesting on paper, but between Teri Polo and Paul Provenza, I find myself slowly dreading their next appearance. They just feel like what a step parent would feel like.

    Bus Stop

Cicelians are bitten by the acting bug when Michelle mounts a production of 'Bus Stop.' But as the show goes on, Chris (playing the part of Bo) suffers intimacy problems with Maggie's character. Eric suffers major denial about his talents; and creative differences and petty jealousies creep into rehearsals.

    OK, I Guess

The series is limping to its conclusion. Michelle decides to put on a play, William Inge's "Bus Stop." Obviously, the usual group ends up being cast. This includes Erick, one of the gay men who run the B and B. Soon everyone is falling apart. They aren't learning lines; they are getting drunk; they can't find a direction. Chris has one of the leads and is supposed to kiss Maggie. He falls apart during rehearsals. It's a disaster. Of course, at some point a miraculous cure comes along, a realization as to what can be done. Meanwhile, the Capras continue their separation. He is hardly a delight, not getting what he is doing to gum up the works. I found this episode a bit of a struggle.

Dr. Capra gives Michelle Klonopin (clonazepam) and he calls it a muscle relaxant. It is actually a benzodiazepine, an anticonvulsant or antiepileptic drug. A doctor would not have called it a "powerful muscle relaxant" like he did.
