    It's a Rat!!

Raquel gives birth to baby Damien while Rodney and Cassandra work on their marriage. It's sweet and all but not as good as I remember and so not the funniest episode of the series. But Series 7 ends the way most people figured it would, with eyes very much set on the future.

Three Men, a Woman, and a Baby

A wonderful episode of the show, with writer John Sullivan expertly combining broad comedy with touching heartfelt moments.

A lovely episode, the last of Series 7. After this the show would only return for Christmas Specials.

    Who held the whip-round?

The last regular episode of the show is a classic.

For me John Sullivan balances the humour and the drama (albeit mostly humour) associated with Raquel's pregnancy perfectly. The stress associated with a certain event is used brilliantly to generate comedy. Del is hilarious throughout the episode with Raquel and her condition being a great foil.

The subplot involving Rodney and Cassandra's relationship problems includes one of their funniest scenes together. Their banter at home together and ponytail shenanigans are superb.

Connected to Rodney's depressed state is a great scene in the nags head. The joke about Trigger's cousin Cyril is one of my favourite in the entire series.

All the great comedy and season 7 arc leads to a final moment that should thaw even the coldest hearts.

    Amazing.

Such a heartfelt episode. It just shows that not only did Fools and Horses deal with comedy, but drama, too. I don't think there was a dry eye in Britain when this episode aired, especially the ending with Del talking to his mum. A put goosebumps moment. Timeless.
