- SPOILER: A prison warden summons three life sentence inmates to be interviewed by Dr. Thomas 'Kelly' Kellander, authorized by the government to seek a volunteer to test a teleportation system to another planet. Chino Rivera accepts the offer and learns that an advanced civilization from planet Chromos has contacted the earthlings and offered the technology for teleportation. They propose an exchange of natives from each planet, and soon Dr. Kellander receives an alien that walks freely about the facility. Dr. Robert Richardson, thereafter, finds a strange goo floating on the nearby lake. He decides to investigate but is murdered by the alien. As Chino tries to escape from the facility, he stumbles upon Dr. Richardson's body and is soon accused of murder. Only Dr. Julia Harrison believes him.
