    Attack of the Baby Clone

This is the story of an upwardly mobile politician who is shooting for a U.S. Senate seat. He and his wife have just lost a child. The husband reveals that there is a possibility of taking nerve tissue and body tissue to create a clone of the little boy. The mother resists this until she sees a computer program that shows the clone developing into an identical twin of the child they lost. Now the weird stuff starts. She has an in utero procedure and the child starts to grow inside her. What is even stranger is that the baby begins to develop the ability to communicate through a passageway in the umbilical cord. Also, the mother begins to have strange dreams that produce unsettling thoughts about her husband. The baby knows something. He kicks and punches and tries to tell her things from the womb. We get lots of shots of the little guy in the womb. He can actually wave to people when prompted (in an ultrasound). This leads to a violent conclusion. The episode is a bit much to swallow, but it does draw us into its world.

Control Voice: [closing narration] The will to live is part of our biology, it exists in every cell, in our very DNA, of course, sheer will can't keep us alive forever, but sometimes, it can give us a second chance.
