While trying to pick a fight Clayton Hughes asks Alvin Yood what nationality his last name is, to which Yood replies that it is American, which Clayton says is wrong. Alvin is technically right that it is an American name, but its more accurate to say it's Irish-American. Yood is a last name that was first used in the United States, and also Canada and England, starting around 1890. It was mainly used by Irish immigrants and is equivalent to the English name Jude.

Goofs
When Beecher is talking to Katherine McClain one of the guards is sitting at a desk not 10 feet away. Katherine is an attorney and is meeting with Beecher to discuss his case, a guard would not be allowed to be in the same room as it would violate attorney/client privilege. At the very least the guard would have to be far enough away that he wouldn't be able to overhear their conversation.
