    melodrama?

It seems to me that the writers have begun to poke fun at the show by the script they are writing. I don't know if it was intended, but the series seems to have just become absurd! The characters are screaming a lot. It does not help the series at all. The character who was accused of chopping off the woman's head, and a dentist who is sexually aroused by his partner smashing bugs?

    Silly Over the Top Writing

Henry Winkler plays a dentist who has a fetish where he gets off from women squashing cockroaches. Need I say more? One of his patients is found dead in his examination chair with a mouth full of grape jelly. The possibility of Plan B comes up again. It's getting a little tiresome.

    • Goofs
The detective testifies that on Dr. Olson's latex gloves, traces of oils of Dr. Olson's skin flakes were found on the inside, and on the outside both skin secretions from the victim, and grape jelly. It is later revealed that Dr. Olson gratified himself in his office and on return he found the victim in his dentist chair with the jelly in her throat. Now, he either put on gloves before trying to resuscitate her (which is odd), or he gratified himself still wearing the gloves that he used when he cleaned the victim's teeth - in which case, surely, there would at least be some traces of his skin on the outside of (one of) the gloves.
