    Serious Matters

A man whom Lindsay put away early in her career for a double rape asks her to campaign for a DNA test. The thing is one rape kit exonerates him but the other is contaminated. Eventually it falls on other means to prove his innocence on the second one. Bobby and Eugene become advocates for a volatile man who has connections to drug dealers. They mistakenly allow his whereabouts be known to the authorities which complicates the case.

    • Quotes

Russell Hampton: What about an appeal?

Bobby Donnell: We can try, but to be honest, I don't think it'll work.

Russell Hampton: It's my blood, Bobby. When the test come back they'll know I killed him.

Bobby Donnell: All the blood does is put you at the scene. It doesn't prove you killed anyone.

Russell Hampton: What about self-defense? You said we could argue self-defense.

      Bobby Donnell: And we will.

Russell Hampton: That's a winner, right? Because this guy--this guy was gonna kill me, Bobby.

Bobby Donnell: The problem, you knew that meeting might get violent, you went there with a gun.

Russell Hampton: [sighs] It's your fault. When this started, all they had was a dying bag of crack. Now, they'll gonna charge me with murder.

Bobby Donnell: You told me to go forward if...

Russell Hampton: If I was dead. Do I look dead?

Bobby Donnell: Hey, they couldn't charge you with murder if you didn't keep killing people.

Russell Hampton: You gave me up.

Bobby Donnell: Shut up, Russell, and just listen. I think we should consider insanity.

      Russell Hampton: What?

Bobby Donnell: You said it yourself, something snapped. You felt as though you, you flipped a switch.

Russell Hampton: No, I am not crazy.

Bobby Donnell: You are out of control.

Russell Hampton: Now, this is your fault, Bobby.

Bobby Donnell: We can make a showing that you couldn't distinguish right from wrong.

Russell Hampton: No, I trusted you. And look what you...
