    Season Eight.

I'm just using space for a general review of season eight. While I've really enjoyed watching The Practice, I was getting a bit bored mid-way through season seven. I was aware that some of the top cast was leaving though and I was curious to see how season eight fared with some newbies joining.

I think Alan Shore is just the tonic the show needed. He's funny, devious and you know he's going to get his way.

I'm now looking forward to watching Boston Legal which I know is set around his firm. It should be a hoot if his season long spell on here is anything to go by.

How Do You Fight the Devil

Since Alan Shore is a supernatural creature, you can't win against him. He seems to be able to move in and out of places through cracks in the walls. We know how this will go. Some say Eugene overreacted. Well, I suppose. He is a hothead that has used some of Shore's methods in the past. I'll be interested to see how the firm goes down and turns into Boston Legal.

First appearance of Denny Crane which will lead to being one of the main characters in Boston Legal
    • Goofs
In the scene where Eleanor Frutt goes back to the office and finds the firm's name changed into "ALAN SHORE and Associates", you can see Lucy Hatcher's pink bra strap in some shots but you can't in others.
    • Quotes

Alan Shore: It's not that I didn't appreciate your riveting performance, but I've mainly retained you to sit at the table as honorary friend of the judge.

Denny Crane: Let me tell you something, tiger.

      Alan Shore: Tiger?

Denny Crane: You want Denny Crane to talk. When Denny Crane talks, E.F. Hutton listens. My presence alone - my presence is so powerful, I don't even have to talk. Sometimes I'm better when I don't talk.

Alan Shore: This was my thinking.

Denny Crane: I'm Denny Crane, damn it!
